Been a fan on the sidelines for awhile, but I just heard the Foggy Mountain Rock cut from your new CD "Josh" and I am now a mainstream fan!

Just wanted you to know I met your step daughter, Erica, on a flight to Cancun. We sat next to each other and of course, began to talk and somehow bluegrass came up! My husband loves it, especially gospel, and Erica shared your name with me (written on a napkin LOL) and I kept it all week on vacation and googled you when I got home. Loved your music, you bring the dobro to life. Tell Erica thanks for sharing! Kim

Ferrell: GREAT SOUNDS... finally great to hear someone play that you can relate to. Constantly listing to your "Josh" album and "Stobro's Blues" makes this old pickers heart beat faster. Keep up the good pickin....

Mr. Stowe, I bought a Josh album from you a while back and want to get another for a friend that is just startin out on the dobro. I think this is a must have for any rezo player. I sure like mine and I play it all the time. I have really got to like the sweet tone you get out of those old dobros and almost would like to have one. I'm kinda stuck on the Meredith and older "Horn I have but if I ever run across one of the old ones (not likely around here) I'll sure give it a chance. I heard you one morning on Bluegrass Junction track by track when you were with a band you play with. Can't remember the name of the band but you do a song about I Got a Thing About Doors. Anyways you made a comment about not being able to keep up with the amount of notes some of the younger pickers can put out. Pard, I gotta tell you, I don't think much dust settles on your strings. I have your address from before so just let me know what amount I need to send and I'll get it right out to you. Found the envelope the other one came in on my desk today. Terry Harris Bodfish, CA

Jerry Galbraith
I just started listening to Bluegrass a short time ago when I got Sirius in my new Ford truck, and I can't stop. I heard Ferrell playing "FlattLonesome" a few days ago and have been on his site and on Youtubelistening every night. I'd like to purchase "Stobro's Blues" and"Josh". How do I go about that? I think almost anyone would be hard pressed to find another musician that searches for the soul ,tone and voice from a resophonic guitar and then finds it in every song he plays; as does Ferrell Stowe. One of the very few players that just flat out feels the essence in a song and then delivers it in a way that will not soon be forgotten. Thank you Ferrell for all that you have done and hopefully continue to do for us listeners, through your musical interpretations on this instrument.
Your friend,
Danny

Emily Hogeback
About Myself:
Hi, I'm Emily. I am a eighteen year old blind musician. I have been playing music for over thirteen
years. I started with the Suzuki Violin method, but soon fell in love with bluegrass fiddling. I have the
gift of perfect pitch that lets me play about anything I can hear. I play the classical violin in two orchestras.
I have been playing the Dobro guitar for eight years. I knew I wanted to be a Dobro player from the
first moment I heard that resonating sound. Some of my early influences are Josh Graves, Brother
Oswald, Rob Ikes, and of course, Jerry Douglas. Being blind has not held me back. When I'm not practicing,
I spend most of my time listing to the radio or to my favorite CD's. I live and breathe music.
Music is my life.
I love playing and performing with family and friends. I would like to thank them all, especially
Wayne Luessen, who always supports and encourages me. I want to give a special thanks to my mom
and dad for driving, setting up equipment, music lessions, buying instruments, and for all there help over
the years.

Our Daughter Emily:
By: Mark & Debbie Hogeback ( Mom & Dad )
Emily was born very early at just 23 weeks and weighed 1 pound, a miracle baby. The doctors told us
she had only a 5 % chance of living through the night but she was a fighter, and lived through the night.
She was in the hospital for 6 long months. So at 6 pounds we finally brought her home. The doctors told
us she may have eye problem because she was born so early. At 8 months after 2 eye surgeries, to try to
reconnect her retinas. The doctors informed us she wound be blind. When she was 4 years old, Emily
started taking music therapy at C.A.B. in Cincinnati. Which helped develope her interest in music. She
took to music like a sponge. They told us that she had the gift of perfect pitch. Emily can tell you the
note or cord of any song or instrument as soon as she hears it. She can play about any song on the Dobro
or violin as soon as she hears it. She just loved to hear the sound of stringed instruments. At age 5 she
started playing the piano, at age 7 she got her first violin and taught herself how to play it. So at age 8
we got her into Suzuki violin lessions witch she still takes today. At age 10 she started playing the Dobro
guitar after hearing one at a concert. She still is playing one today and has a ball playing it. When
Emily was 12 years old she had major back surgery for Scoliosis, curvature of the spine. They put in
rods and screws to straighten out her back. Even though Emily has been through many things, she still
has a positive attitude and is a very happy young lady and a excellent musician. She is a wonderful inspiration
to all that see and meet her.
Love Mom & Dad
